SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida man has been accused of animal cruelty after over 30 dogs were found at a kennel living in horrible conditions.
According to WFTV, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office deputies said that around 30 dogs were rescued from a kennel on Tuesday. Four dogs were also found deceased and a fifth one had to be put down.
According to WFTV, Brandon Blake is facing 26 charges including animal cruelty and confining an animal without sufficient food or water. Seminole County has also revoked Blake’s kennel license.
SCSO said Blake was recently arrested in a domestic violence case. Child protective services went to his house to do a well-being check. The investigator reportedly noticed several dogs having poor health and that even more dogs were living in horrible conditions, according to WFTV.
Seminole County Animal Services are caring for the dogs now, nearing its capacity, according to WFTV. SCAS is offering a $5 adoption sale to get more animals adopted. So far, these dogs have not been put up for adoption yet but the hope is that the sale will make more room for them.
More information can be found on SCAS’ website about how to adopt one of the available dogs.
