Cardi B is opening up about her life after breaking up with husband Offset and her new career path.

The “Money Bag” rapper said she was reborn after filing for divorce from Offset in 2024, E! News reported.

“I feel like last year a new person was reborn,” she said on the “Aspire With Emma Grede” podcast. “I don’t know if it was the divorce. I don’t know if something woke me up. I feel like I’m definitely a new person.”

She said that she was inspired by other stars to build her business empire.

“A lot of artists or celebrities that have really big, major businesses that are successful, they didn’t build their brand on the second or third year of being big celebrities. They build their brand when they [were] seven to eight to 10 years in the business, and I feel right now is the perfect time.”

Cardi B added, “I’m 33 years old. I’m in my Jesus year. I’m in my Orisha year. This is the year. It’s like God is telling me, ‘It’s gonna be now or never — take advantage of it."

But she also noted she’s not worried about competition from other celebs such as Beyoncé, Rihanna or Tracee Ellis Ross.

“It’s not even about competition,” she added, saying she likes Beyoncé’s brand.

She also discussed how she developed her products for the Grow-Good line.

“I was doing my own masks in my kitchen, using what I already knew from my family’s recipes and what I learned from my own research. I really took my time to get my hair looking healthy again after years of damage. And guess what? It worked. Now I wanna share my hair journey with everybody,” she said, according to People magazine.
