In late 2019 The Black Crowes announced a reunion and tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album “Shake Your Money Maker”.
Before the tour began Chris and Rich Robinson decided to do a short acoustic tour, just the 2 of them, billed as “Brothers Of A Feather”.
The tour wrapped up on March 6th, 2020, one week before the pandemic essentially shut the world down.
The film is that final night’s performance.
You can watch it on Coda Collection’s website and is also available through Amazon Prime.
Part of the description of the film on Coda Collection’s site says “To prepare for the full-band trek, and rekindle their chemistry after a long period devoid of communication, the brothers embarked on a brief acoustic tour of intimate venues in early 2020. A week after the final date — performed March 6 at the Chapel in San Francisco, and presented in crisp black-and-white on this film — the pandemic halted everything. “Brothers of a Feather” shows the results of what got interrupted and what could still happen if the Robinsons maintain the camaraderie, artistry and respectfulness displayed here.”
