February 17th 1990 Aerosmith made an appearance on Saturday Night Live as the musical guest.

But they did a little more.

They also appeared as guests on Mike Myers skit “Wayne’s World” with Tom Hanks.

Tom Hanks played Garth’s (Dana Carvey’s) cousin Barry who is a roadie for Aerosmith.

The band appeared on the “Nook cam” in Wayne’s breakfast nook.

That is until Wayne noticed his mom talking to the guys and brought them into the basement and onto the show.

After a few questions with the band, they played with Myers on guitar, and ironically enough based on recent events, Dana Carvey played drums while Joey Kramer played tambourine.
